The process flow is the same for all size MRU’s. The incoming gas stream enters a pre-cooler, where the gas stream is pre-cooled by cold separator gas stream. The pre-cooled gas stream passes through a series of gas-freon heat exchangers where the temperature of the gas stream is lowered to the temperature required to condense the heavy hydrocarbons from the gas by indirect contact with the refrigerant. The gas and condensed vapors then flow from the exchanger into the cold separator, where the condensed hydrocarbons are collected and transferred to either a stock liquid tank or a pressurized NGL tank. The gas, free of the heavy liquid hydrocarbons, flows from the cold separator, passes through the pre-cooler and exits the unit to the sales pipeline.
All Kinder Morgan Treating Refrigeration Systems are skid mounted, completely factory assembled, including all required equipment, instrumentation, piping and electrical components. The unit is charged with refrigerant and test run prior to shipment. Kinder Morgan Treating utilizes water-cooled, natural gas fueled commercial-grade generators for those remote applications where electricity is not available.
Kinder Morgan Treating offers flexible leasing options on all size MRU’s. A one-year leasing contract has the added benefit of requiring no payment of sales tax.
